Creepy, Funny, Middle Grade Reads

The Dead Have Risen!!!

(actually, they never laid down)

Say hello to Death is a Many-Splendored Thing, book one of the Chronicles of the Deadly Dead!

At long last, a book that tells the truth about death! And by truth I mean an utterly crazy, wild, and unpredictable adventure! Meet Zack Thornwood, normal high school freshman. One day after baseball practice, he spots a man with a hole in his head vanish into the Earth and lo, his world is turned upside down!

The thing about dead people is that there are too many of them who go around pretending they weren’t dead.

You can purchase a copy in paperback or ebook format, or enjoy it on Kindle!

The Play’s the Thing!

I have been writing crazy one-act plays for kids in grades 3-9 for a number of years for a summer camp I teach each year. These are loosly based on the style of English Pantomime, in that they are larger-than-life and full of slapstick and silliness.

Now you can put them on, too! Or, at least, three of them. The website is a warehouse of plays and skits for children of all ages and three (so far) of my titles have found their way onto the site.

(Robin Hood and the Unnecessary Rescue is a sort-of sequel to the Wedding of Doom)

We generally turn these into musicals, with the kids choosing songs they want to sing. We’ve done rock, pop, broadway, parody, and anything else that came to mind. They are always a huge hit, and I’m thrilled to share them with you!
